Sanctuary Point Community Pride Inc. is delighted to share the success of our Spring Into Sanctuary Point Fair, which once again proved to be a fantastic celebration of our vibrant and diverse community.
On a beautiful sunny Saturday, 19 October, over 1,800 people gathered at Francis Ryan Oval to enjoy a day filled with entertainment, community engagement, and local pride. The event featured 46 stalls, showcasing a variety of interests and activities that make Sanctuary Point such a special place. Groups such as Clifton Community Food Garden, Nowra Poultry Club, and Amnesty International joined forces with essential community service organisations, including Headspace, the Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, the RFS, and SES, to provide information, support, and interactive experiences for attendees.
The fair offered something for everyone, regardless of age or interest. Children delighted in the Lions Club Geoffrey Giraffe jumping castle while technology and sustainability enthusiasts explored Repower Shoalhaven’s electric cars. Food lovers indulged in treats from various food vans, including coffee and ice cream vendors, the Lions Club hot food stall, and Sanctuary Point Chinese Restaurant, ensuring that no one went hungry.
A highlight of the day was the heartfelt Acknowledgement of Country and an incredible Aboriginal dance and choir performance by students from Sanctuary Point Public School. The entertainment continued with outstanding performances from the Shoalhaven City Concert Band, KC Dancers, and Music is a Verb, bringing energy and joy to the crowd. Thanks to the generous support of the Member for South Coast, Liza Butler MP, and a grant from Shoalhaven City Council, we were able to hire a professional sound system this year, enhancing the overall experience for everyone.
Excitement built as we drew the winners of our highly anticipated raffle. Congratulations to:

The winning spirit continued with our free Lucky Gate competition, where 45 lucky attendees walked away with fantastic prizes. A full list of prize donors can be found on our website at www.spcp.org.au, and we deeply appreciate their support.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we surveyed our stallholders after the fair. Their positive feedback and constructive suggestions will help us enhance future events, ensuring that the Spring Into Sanctuary Point Fair continues to grow and thrive.
