Nestled in the heart of Sanctuary Point, Sanctuary Point Community Pride Inc. has quietly but steadily been making waves since its inception in 2011. We are all about bringing residents together, fostering a sense of community, and instilling pride in the place we call home.

Sanctuary Point Community Pride has seen success with a range of community projects. From the lively “Spring into Sanctuary Point Fair” to the practical “Learn to Ride Facility” at Clifton Park, these projects have been about enhancing our town for all.

In 2024, we have some promising events and projects on the horizon. This year, we will host our Seniors Week Morning Tea (March), Neighbour Day BBQ (April), and our annual Spring into Sanctuary Point Fair (October). Each event aims to create vibrant community experiences, fostering connections among residents.

We are also working on exciting new projects. For instance, the Bendigo Bank Bursary project is designed to provide financial support and empower individuals over 26 years old who are eager to make a career change or re-enter the workforce, acting as a catalyst for their professional growth and success. Additionally, we’re crafting a comprehensive map highlighting the beauty of Sanctuary Point, blending a physical map for tangible exploration with an interactive online map for a modern and engaging experience. This map project has received funding from the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal’s (FRRR) Inner Regional Community Fund (IRCF) program.

Sanctuary Point Community Pride welcomes new members to ensure everyone has a say in the community’s future. This is an opportunity for residents to actively contribute to projects, collaborate with fellow locals, and steer the community towards a brighter future.

We meet monthly, alternately on Monday evenings and Friday mornings at The Country Club – St Georges Basin. The alternate months assist those who work and can’t make daytime meetings. These meetings are more than gatherings; the community unites to discuss ideas, plan projects, and sow the seeds for positive change. If you’re interested in being part of Sanctuary Point Community Pride Inc., message us via our Contact Us page, check out our Facebook page, or grab a copy of the ‘About…’ magazine to stay updated on meeting dates and times.

Join us in building a stronger, prouder Sanctuary Point community—your active participation is key to our shared success!
